Marriage
After finished his study at Universiti Malaya in February 14, 1981, Sudirman end his solo life by married to his childhood lover, Kamariah ‘Kay’ Jamaluddin, a woman who was worked at Petronas. All his fans accepted the news about his marriage happily. However, his marriage only last for three years as they divorced in May 25, 1984 because there is no compatibility between both of them.
Referred to Sudirman’s best friend, Noorkumalasari, who witness the divorced, during their divorced, the situation full of sorrow. After the word of divorce was spoken, the tears drop from both of them.
Through the song “Terasing” and “Merisik Khabar”, he expressed the grief through the agony of divorced. He also created a song entitled “Setiamu Tiada Lagi” which was sang by Ibnor Riza. After divorced, Sudirman gave full attention on his career including sketching, writing, and established his own company.
Death
On July 17, 1991, Sudirman was admitted In Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Pusat Perubatan Tawakkal, Kuala Lumpur for four days. For seven months he was bedridden, his nearest relatives concealing the cause of disease and the location he was treated. On that time, he was not went anywhere except to his eldest sister house in Butterworth for a week.
On Saturday morning at four in the morning, February 22, 1992, at the age of 37 years old, Sudirman Haji Arshad was return to his Creator at his sister house, Datin Rodziah binti Haji Arshad which locate at No. 16, Jalan Taban Satu, Lucky Garden, Bangsar Park, Kuala Lumpur after suffering from pneumonia for seven months. His body was bring to his hometown in Temerloh, Pahang and was buried in Tanah Perkuburan Islam Kampung Chengal, Temerloh on the same day. On the solemn day, there were a thousands of his fans including the Prime Minister of Malaysia on that time, Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad (now with the title of ‘Tun’) were visited his body which is considered to be a big loss for the world of entertainment in Malaysia.
